Frankly, the Thailand national team performed slightly better than Vietnam but luck came to Park Hang-seo’s side.

They got a slow but stable starting, showing a collective play although Thailand players didn’t have high form in recent time.

In fact, Vietnam had no chance in the first half while Thailand created ‘dangerous’ phases in the box of Vietnam side including Supachai’s shot hiiting theꦚ post and Thitipan’s finish.

In the second half, Thailand having its home advantage dominated the game and surround Dang Van Lam’s net. Vietnam under Park Hang-seo’s leadership responded by delivering dangerous finishes.

The final minutes saw a set-piece situation.  Xuan Truong took a penalty kick, Anh Duc hit the ball by his head, Kawin made mistake, Vietnam won 1-0 and go to the final facing Curacao. Thailand played better but was not winner. Vietnam with effort and luck go to King’s Cup final.
