Slovac Liberec has extended its contract with Vietnamese-Czech goalie Filip Nguyen until 2022, according to the Czech football club’s website.

The 26-year-old Nguyen has done a splendid job and secured a ꧑permanent slot in Slovac Liberec’s lineup since he joined the club in February, 2018, said Slovac Liberec.

Nguyen was honored as the “Best goalkeeper of 2018”, following his 3 “Man of the Match” titles last season.

He was included in the Team of the Week two weeks in  a row. The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) is gearing up to recruit the young talent, said VFF Secretary General Le Hoai Anh.

⛎Nguyen will miss Vietnam’s World Cup 2022 qualifier against Thailand on September 5, however.
